George Northup |
|

Encouraged many years ago by the resident artists Grant Hagen, Conrad
Schwiering, John Clymer, Hollis Williford, Bob Kuhn and others to pursue creating images in metal,
George Northup has made sculpture his life's work for more than 25 years.
His work has been widely acknowledged, honored, and collected. It can be found in
corporate and private collections across the country and throughout the world. Most recently, he has created a series of stunning bronze and copper lamps that feature sculpted wild trout accented under a table light with a buffed copper shade. In addition, George has teamed with legendary painter Bob Kuhn to create an exquisite migrating elk sculpture that leaves viewers breathless.
George spends many weeks each year traveling and researching his wildlife and sporting subjects. He continually is pushing his creative mind in new directions with
fellow artists, his family and his friends. Not one to live life in a boring manner,
George recently spent several days flying with top Naval combat aviators who treated
him to a super-sonic jet ride.

Kay Northup
|
|
As with most artists, grand visions of creating great works are often amended as the rigors of life demand the attention of the artist.
Kay Northup began her career by studying art and art history at Texas Tech University before being drawn to the sky to become an airline stewardess. After meeting George in 1965, she soon found herself in Jackson Hole in the fall of 1967 with a new son, Scott. Soon to follow was daughter Leslie. The demands of surviving the early years of living in the valley left Kay little time to pursue her true calling. Once the kids left the coop, Kay was encouraged by George and several close friends to pick up her brushes again.
Since then, Kay's work has become highly sought after. Several galleries and collections feature her exquisite oil and pastel paintings, as well as her glass pieces. Kay loves to experience her art as well as paint it. She has traveled to Scandinavia, Scotland, Paris, and several times to her favorite region, northern Italy.
Kay's works have been featured in:
Artists in the Embassies; several pieces were displayed in U.S. Embassies throughout the world
Jackson Hole Art in the Parks
Several large private collections
Worlds Finest Chocolate Co.

Leslie Northup
Goodyear |
|

Leslie Northup Goodyear is the vagabond product of two artist parents, from whom she gained not only the ability to draw, paint and sculpt, but also the ability to write and tell others about it. Leslie has taken many paths, but no matter where she goes, Leslie keeps coming back to what is most important to her work; her love of horses, her love of the mountains and it's occupants, and her passion for experiencing all things outdoors. She has lived in Kentucky, Georgia, New York City, Los Angeles and even France, never staying long before realizing that the mountains of Wyoming are where she is most comfortable.
Leslie has teamed with Gregg Goodyear of Jackson Hole to create some unique and stunning interior design pieces. Their artwork has been placed in homes throughout the country, in fine restaurants, and in bed & breakfasts and inns.
When Leslie and Gregg aren't in the studio, they are most likely climbing a mountain ridge to ski on fresh fallen powder, or casting tiny flies to finicky trout, or pointing their camera at something beautiful.
